At Lightning Electrical we strive for customer satisfaction.  It is our top priority and we work hard to achieve this everyday.  We are a local Austin area electrical company that has been in the electrical field since 1982. We believe by being upfront, honest, and providing you with a quality electrical service at a reasonable rate is the key to happy customers and a successful electrical business.

We know when it comes to making a decision on which Austin electrician to call, you have many choices.  So, you should shop around and make an informed decision before calling just any Austin electrician.  Checking with the Better Business Bureau is a great resource.  Lightning Electrical is a proud A-rated member of the Better Business Bureau.  You may want to contact a few master licensed electrical contractors and explain to them what your electrical needs are.  If it is a minor electrical project like installing a ceiling fan, maybe repairing or replacing a light, they should be able to give you an estimated price over the phone.  However, if it is a more serious electrical problem, for example, you have lost power in your home, the electrical contractor will have to send an Austin electrician out to troubleshoot your electrical problem.  In this case, the electrical contractor should be able to give you an estimated cost per hour for the electrical service they provide.  Or, you may have a larger electrical project like adding an addition to your home, or a remodel of your residential property.  In this case, the electrical contractor would also have to send out an Austin electrician to give you a written estimate.  Ask before scheduling an appointment if the electrical contractor provides free estimates.  Most established professional licensed electrical contractors will provide free estimates.

Another important factor when deciding what Austin electrician you put your trust into is the electrical contractors credentials.  As required by N.E.C. (National Electrical Code) and the state of Texas, anyone that provides an electrical service must have obtained a master electrical license through the state where the work is performed.  Also required is the electrical contractor's license, as well as a minimum amount of liability insurance.  The N.E.C. requires the Austin electrician to have the electrical contractor's license # displayed on his vehicle.  When you call an Austin electrician, ask him if he has an electrical master's license and contractor's license.  This # is also required to be displayed on the written estimate he gives you and the invoice.

At Lightning Electrical, we understand that electricity is a vital part of our everyday lives, and when you turn on a light switch you expect the light to come on. If you plug into an electrical outlet you expect your electrical system to work properly, and when it does not it is a huge annoyance that may also stop production and could be a costly inconvenience.  Call our Austin electricians at Lightning Electrical and we will have an electrician there in a flash.  If your electrical issue is not so urgent, we will schedule a convenient time for you and our Austin electrician to perform an electrical service call to your home or business.
